After you file

If the state or federal entity that TT is transmitting the return to doesn't receive it, it is a TT issue.  All computers when exchanging information between different systems use EDI (Electronic Data Interchange).  If the receiving party of data (in this case federal or state) shows no record of the incoming data, then the problem is on the senders end (in this case TT).  I am painfully aware of how EDI works in that we use it in my business and there are occasional issues.  They almost always require IT intervention to figure out what went wrong.

What's frustrating about Turbotax is that they do not acknowledge this.  Even when you beg them to put an IT person on the case to solve it, they ignore you.

I say this from current personal experience in that my state return to the state of Oregon is hung up in  a pending status (Fed went through just fine).  I have contacted the State of Oregon and spoken to multiple people on their end and they cannot "see" the return.  The data transmission issue is clearly on Turbo Taxes end.

Why Turbo Tax wont let their IT personnel get involved is beyond me.  It is such a simple fix, that would go miles in taking care of their customers.
