After you file
Thank you @maukro, your method 2 worked for me.
I had the same problem as everyone else in the thread - clicked either "print required forms" or "print returns" button on "save for your records" screen, got the dialog box with the back-and-forth blue progress bar, and the spinning beach ball, then after a few seconds the "pop" sound and dialog disappears. Every time.
MacBook Pro 13" 2017, MacOS Ventura 13.6.6. TurboTax 2024 Desktop Premier, up to date.
I tried all the dumb suggestions in the community like cold-booting the machine etc. Plenty of available disk, and memory while TT is running. It's very obviously a software bug in TT24 on the MacOS platform.
I've been using TT Desktop for years on this same computer and have never had this problem.
Oh and TurboTax support? Forgetaboutit. I called the 800 number and got a live human. I told her print forms wasn't working on Mac. She didn't ask for more information. I asked if there is an email address or website through which I could open a support ticket. The answer was no. She said she'd create a ticket for me, and transfer me to someone who might know an email address. Then she went silent but kept the line open. After a few minutes I finally hung up. Right after that I got an email saying my TurboTax case was closed. AWESOME support experience! 👍
Thanks for posting the workaround solution.
Cheers,
