TurbTax did not submit it to the IRS. Pending means it is on its way and accepted means that IRS has received your tax return. So if you file with someone else, then it’s a race to gets to IRS first. Believe me IRS never received your return if the the status is pending still. Once in a while TurboTax emails me and says you could resubmit your return now.
