After you file
If your Form 8949 has Box B (short-term transactions reported on Form 1099-B, with basis reported to the IRS) and Box E (long-term transactions reported on Form 1099-B, with basis reported to the IRS) checked, you generally don't need to send your Form 1099-B along with Form 8453. The details from your 1099-B are already reflected in Form 8949, which is sufficient for the IRS.
Once your return has been transmitted, it can't be interrupted unless the return is rejected. Most likely, TurboTax guided you correctly in having you send only Forms 8453 and 8949. However, if the IRS needs your 1099 B, they will inform you that it needs to be sent. You can send it in then if they request it. .
