that depends. is there anything on the 2023 return that could affect 2024. best would be to do 2023 which must be done using a desktop app and mailed in. then any info needed from 2023 will be available when you do 2024 either online or using desktop. note with online for 2024 you will not be able to transfer data from the 2023 return if that is needed.
