I think your talking about getting a 1099-G from the state.
- If the entire process happened in 2024 the state should have reflected the net refund on the 1099-G
- Even if they did not it would depend on if you received Itemized deductions in 2023. If not, it has no effect.
- This is because if you Itemized you may have taken your entire withholdings as a deduction.
- The refund indicates that the deduction was too high.
- So if you didn't Itemize, there is no consequence.
- If you did Itemize there is a procedure in TurboTax to correct it.
