Once the IRS approves a customer’s refund, TurboTax attempts to transfer the customer’s refund to their bank account. TurboTax sends the customer an email letting them know if we were able to successfully deliver their refund up to 5 Days Early. If we were successfully able to deliver the customer’s refund up to 5 Days Early, their refund is expected to be in their bank account the same day the customer received an email from us.

 

If we were unable to successfully expedite customer’s refund, they should expect their refund to be delivered by the date provided in the IRS Where’s My Refund site and you will not be charged the early processing fee.  The refund will be sent to the customer’s bank or to them in the mail. It may take 5 days for their refund to show in their bank account, or several weeks for their check to arrive in the mail.
