I filed through TurboTax a couple weeks ago. After an email from my wife's employer made me double-check her W2 accuracy, I realized that only one of her box 20 localities was accounted for (the locality is TOTAL, the ADP TotalSource catch-all), and I didn't see entries for her city of residence, city of employment, or local school district. Federal and state refunds have already been deposited. I began working on an amendment in TurboTax where I put those back in, but TurboTax didn't "detect any differences between your original 2024 return and your amended return." Do I even need to amend? I've never amended before and I'm fairly confused.
