After you file

The "Personal Technology" columnist in our local paper (in Silicon Valley) wrote a column in today's edition with glowing review of Turbotax. I thought it might be timely to point him to this discussion group to see that all is not coming up roses.

Here is what I sent to him via email:

After reading your glowing review of Turbotax (and until this year I agree with your position), I thought you should know that the program (and its support) may not be what it used to be.  I am a long-time Turbotax user and have found it to be very useful for many years. But, unfortunately, there is currently a serious problem with the desktop software which Turbotax (Intuit) has been unable (unresponsive) to resolve for many users. After entering the data and going through all of the program’s checks — many people find that they can neither print nor download a PDF of the completed return (myself included).

Fortunately a member of the group discovered a workaround which, for most with this problem, seems to force the program to generate a PDF of the return. BUT it is a problem that should have been fixed by Intuit by now.

It is my observation that the problem is mostly with older Macs which still support MacOS Ventura. System requirements for this year’s Turbotax include Ventura.

Perhaps you have a contact with Intuit who might be able to get this resolved.

This is the discussion group which continues to be very active.
A LINK TO THIS GROUPS WAS PLACED HERE IN THE EMAIL

If you do have an Intuit contact who might be able to push for resolution of this problem please pass this note along.

Thank you for your time,
