I'm so upset. I made a mistake and filed 1/26 without realizing the IRS doesn't open until 1/27 this year!!! Now I'm afraid my return has been backlogged because when I check the status on the IRS site it only says "Accepted" not "Approved." I was supposed to receive on 2/17 but then got a notification from Turbo that my refund may not arrive until March 4th. I messed up big time and I'm sad that Turbo doesn't remind us that we're submitting too early just incase we make a mistake. They're should be a disclaimer on each page that returns are not accepted until whatever date the IRS opens to keep us aware. What should I do next? How likely is it that my return is now thrown into a pile of lost files. I'm highly pissed about this because I'm a single mom and depending on my refund.
