he owes more of a return to the state. We already processed his $222 (owing). Paid by debit card. As soon as we selected he can be claimed as a dependent on another return his state owing jumped to $471. It never asked us to “pay again” for the additional amount. The $222 hasn’t processed out of his bank account yet, so will they just charge the whole amount (the new state owing amount) when his return processes?
I just need to know when and how we pay the state for his taxes he owes!
