What product are you using? Are you preparing the 2 returns in Online TurboTax? If so, you must both have separate online accounts (i.e., different User ID's)? Do you have separate accounts? If you try to prepare both returns in the same account, the second one will overwrite the first one.
That having been said, please describe the problem you are having and where it occurs. If preparing online, are you unable to log into your Online account? Or can you log in, but once you're in, is your return closed because TurboTax thinks you were finished, and you don't know how to open it back up to get back to the interview?
