After you file
There are two places where you can correct the state information you entered:
- Open your return and go to your personal information, you can correct the state you entered as for your residency, if needed.
- Also go to the State Taxes section of your return and select Review/Edit . In this screen you will see all the state returns you are preparing. Select edit next to the state where you need to make the residency change.
