What?! That doesn’t even make sense. The advance is through the bank and credit karma not the irs. I have the EIC and child tax credit so I don’t know why they are telling you that. I called many times and got a different answer every time. 

i actually was able to get the advance. I had to make a new account with a new email and wait for my identity to be validated but I still got it. Honestly, I don’t think most of the customer service people actually know what happened. 
I think it was a glitch with the website because when I did it the first time with my original account; there were too many issues that I had seen going through. 
Opened a new account with different email, no issues and got the advance option.

its very frustrating and I tried to be patient because I can only imagine what TurboTax CSRs are dealing with but if you don’t know the answer, don’t just say some bs or hang up on people…
