I also filed my 2024 1040-SR using TurboTax software and then manually verified my federal taxes owed using my taxable income (line 15) and the IRS 2024 tax computation worksheet (Section B). The tax computation worksheet shows that my tax owed the IRS is $300 greater than what TurboTax calculated. So I'll get a bigger refund thanks to TurboTax, that is until the IRS finds the mistake and hits me with a penalty. I'm sure TurboTax won't admit they made an error. I'll be filling out my amended return manually, won't be using TurboTax again. How can TurboTax make such a simple mistake.
