TurboTax offers an option for a refund advance prior to e-filing your return. You will select the refund advance during the checkout process before you e-file. You'll receive your advance once approved for the refund advance and the IRS accepts the return. Here are the steps to file for the refund advance, provided by TurboTax:
- During checkout choose refund advance as your tax return option
- Open a checking account through Credit Karma in TurboTax
- Once the IRS processes the return the remainder of you refund minus the refund advance will be deposited to your Credit Karma checking account.
