After you file
As Bsch4477 said, when you enter your 1099-K in TurboTax, you can exclude the payments that were for personal things.
To enter this in TurboTax:
- Open your return
- Go to 1099-K
- Add a 1099-K
- The next screen lets you select the type of income that your 1099-K is for, select the option that is closest to the income you received
- Enter the information from your form and mark the box of This amount in box 1a is too high or includes some personal transactions
- Enter the amount
