Good evening, I received a rejection letter that night stating that my taxes had been rejected. This is the message I received from Turbo Tax. I cannot find this code or explanation on the website with the other rejection codes.
“Personal_Info_Verification - Your return has been rejected pending confirmation of personal information on your tax return.”
I did speak with a representative last night, but she was unsure of what was exactly wrong. The only thing I could possibly think of would be a last name change of my daughter, but it has been changed for 4 years and her father filed using her updated name last year with no issues. We received a new social and birth certificate for her in 2021 so I feel like her name should be in the IRS database by now. The last time I filed and claimed her was for 2022 with her prior last name, and her father claimed her for 2023 with her updated last name. We alternate years. He says he has not even filed taxes this year and did not claim her so I do not think it is an issue regarding that. The representative suggested I take out the middle initials for my dependents and continue to use the correct names on their social security cards, so I did that and resubmitted. They are currently pending again.
I’m not sure if it is an actual IRS rejection, or if Turbo Tax rejected it before submitting just to verify my information?
Has anyone else received this code? Any help or explanation would be greatly appreciated so I can better understand since it was a vague rejection code.
