Thank you so much DavidD66 for your reply. So disregard all the other lines that says I owe. Just confirming because all this was generated through TurboTax.
- Form 1040, line 37 says an amount owed
- Form 140, line 80 shows another amount owed
- Form 140v has an amount owed too
Do I should just disregard those and only pay what’s on line 20 on form 1040x?
P.S I had mailed in the form with a check for the amount on lines 37 so it means I will owe the difference as line 20 had a much larger amount owing. How do I go about fixing this? Will the IRS pull from my bank account the difference or will they send me notification on getting the difference paid?
apologies for the questions. It was an honest mistake and I want to make sure I do everything I can to do this right.
