What is "it" that says your amended return is in progress? Does it say that about your federal amended return or your state amended return?
Once you have e-filed or printed your amended return, TurboTax gets no information from the IRS or the state about the status. Whatever TurboTax says is not going to change.
To check the status of your federal amended return use Where's My Amended Return? on the IRS web site. It takes the IRS 5 months or more to process an amended return.
Check the tax web site for your state to see if there is a way to check the status of a state amended return.
