After you file

we have no ability to access that information.  you can use the IRS refund status website

https://www.irs.gov/refunds

your state's department of revenue website probably has a similar link. if nothing shows it would indicate that the IRS/state never got them or if mailed there sitting in a mailbag

but first, if you e-filed, access your Turbotax account to see if the returns have been accepted. you should have gotten two e-mails for each - first says submitted. the second says accepted or rejected. if it says rejected or their is no status that would indicate you never completed the e-filing by clicking on the "submit link"

if you mailed them, they could sit for months in a mailbag until the taxing authorities get to them

another option is to call them

Call 800-829-1040

  • Choose your language,
  • Then choose option 2
  • Then 1
  • Then 3
  • Then 2
  • When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN do nothing – wait - - After it asks twice, you will get another menu
  • Then 2
  • Then 3

It should then transfer you to an agent. Note when its phone line are busy you may be on hold for a long while or disconnected

your state probably has a phone number to call by you'll have to check its website.

further questions should be posted in this thread.
