I have appealed the IRMAA amount for 2023 after submitting 2023 Tax form to Social Security. The anticipated refund would be tax neutral I believe, but technically the W2 Income would need to be adjusted lower and the adjustment for Health insurance (S-corp) also decreased by the same amount. Is a1040-X and reissue of W-2 required?
