I filed my taxes and submitted payment to IRS on 4/12. I have proof of payment of $101 to the US Treasury on my mom's credit card statement. Transaction details on the credit card statement reads "VPS Service Fee Intuit" with description reading " US Treasury Tax Payment" in the amount of $101. However, I received a notice today in the mail from the IRS stating I still owe the $101. I'm 18 and this was the first time I've ever had to pay income tax so my mom paid it for me using her credit card. It was from the sell of my FFA project so I received a 1099. Not sure if any of that matters but, like I said, this is all new to me.
