Yes, you can correct that. If you have already e-filed your tax return, you will need to wait until your return is rejected before you make your correction.
Here's how to change it:
- Sign in to your TurboTax account.
- Select My Info, or if your return has been rejected, select Fix my return, then My info.
- Scroll down until you see your dependent's name.
- Select Edit.
- You can correct the birth date here. Continue through the end of the section.
- If your return was rejected, select Review. Keep going until you see Continue to file.
- Keep going until you resubmit your tax return.
