I asked the AI chatbot about purchasing MAX after filing. The chatbot said that if I had a paid version of TurboTax online I could purchase the MAX anytime AFTER filing. I asked the AI chatbot several times and got the same answer each time. I decided to wait.
Before filing I double checked the purchasing window for getting MAX. Now, TurboTax says that MAX must be purchased before filing.
Why the conflicting information? Which is it--can I purchase MAX after filing or only before filing.
