After you file
Longer than usual would be acceptable if it was only 1 to 5 minutes. But this is for taxes which is one of the most important things hat we do online and far too often we have to print and file a paper return (which is beyond our control) so this puts us in panic mode because the IRS has no sense of humor and no sense of patience at all.
Yes, after checking every hour the first day, mine started working 24 hours later, nut that was too late, I needed to get it done on the first day while I was at home.
As a test I went to a friends house who uses a different OS and a different browser and did my return, it finished immediately and produced the PDF for printing and saving instantly.
So once again Intuit needs to actually take the extra 5 minutes to test TurboTax on Apple macOS with Apple Safari, there are literally millions of us and it is the only "other" OS so there is no excuse (and bad on my 40 years in software development in Silicon Valley I know that the QA department testing Safari is ridiculously simple and easy, plus it helps to justify their job (which can be done by automated tools now so in their position I would test Safari and make sure that I let the boss know that I was actually doing my job.
Otherwise millions of Mac users will abandon TurboTax, I only use it now because I have been using it since 1984 and am disappointed at how poorly Intuit supports Mac user.
