Yes, you can correct the state tax ID number in the federal W-2 screen.
Here's how to find that:
- Sign in to your TurboTax account.
- Select Wages & Income.
- To the right of Job (W-2), select Edit/ Add.
- Expand the section by selecting the down arrow to the right
- Select Edit below the W-2 information.
- Select Continue.
- On the screen, Now let's update the rest, scroll to the bottom, and edit the number in the box between 15 and 16.
- Select Continue.
