Is it really impossible to only efile amended fed return without amending a state return?

Hi,

I just had a chat with a TT head you told me it's "inevitable" that if you wish to efile an amended fed return you also have to efile an amended state return.  I struggle to believe that.   I only want to efile an amended fed return.  I am using TT online and the 2022 return I am amending was originally efiled.  Hoping some on this community can help.
