After you file

No, The program was installed on my C: drive, while the data files were stored on my D: drive, which went bad after I entered the data, but before I filed the return.  I do not use "Documents", but have my own file structure for data and documents  on a separate internal D: drive.  I think I might have not had any problems if I could have cloned the old drive to a new one, but the read errors caused several cloning programs to fail.  I was lucky that I could recover the data.

I do have a 64 bit computer.    And I do not have to file a state return - I live in Florida, and TT charges me for a state return, even though I don't need it.  It also pesters me to fill out a Florida return at the end of my Federal return, even though I don't have to file one.  Hopefully I won't have to open any of the old TT software for prior years returns.
