I had a problem opening an active TTAX2023 file that had not yet been filed, because I had replaced the disk where it was stored. I could not even see it and TTAX2023 refused to even look for it, but I figured out that if I just double clicked on the file, TTAX 2023 would open and open the file. So I rescued my data, but I still don't understand what TTAX is doing with the files, unless there is a security issue that TTAX wants to keep quiet about. WHich is not good, because it appears that I will have the same problem for older verstions of TTAX with older tax returns.
