I efiled my tax return on February 17th. It was accepted/approved. TurboTax estimated that I would receive my refund on March 5th via direct deposit. A few days later, I received a 1099 form. I knew this form needed to be submitted, so I went on TurboTax and amended my return. It was accepted and now it says Ready to Mail. I was told that I should not mail it in until after I receive my refund. Is this true? Will I still receive my refund via direct deposit? Now, my TurboTax account says Pending and there is no longer an estimated date that I will receive the refund. So, should I mail in the amended return or should I wait? Thank you. (Also, I went on the IRS website to track my refund, but it says “the information you entered doesn’t match our records” which is weird because it didn’t say that before I amended the return…)
