In TurboTax Online, review your status as a real estate professional by following these steps:
- Down the left side of the screen, click on Federal.
- Down the left side of the screen, click on Wages and income.
- Scroll down to Rentals, royalties and Farm. Click on the down arrow to the right.
- Click on Start/Revisit to the right of Rental Properties and Royalties.
- At the screen Your 2023 rentals and royalties summary, select Edit to the right of the rental property.
- Move through the screens to Review your rental property info.
- Scroll down to Owner info.
- Select Edit under Real estate professional.
- At the screen Confirm you are not a real estate professional, select the correct answer.
