To report your 529 contribution:
In your VA return,
- Continue to the page Here's the income that Virginia handles differently
- Go to Education and select Start/Revisit by Virginia College Savings Prepaid Tuition (Section 529) Plan.
- Answer Yes to the question whether you have ever had a 529 plan.
- The following pages will ask whether you have made a contribution or have a carryover. Answer yes to get to Enter Your Account Info and Activity to enter the details from prior years.
