After you file
Line 2b is Taxable interest, and 3b is ordinary dividends.
These would be included on a 1099-INT or a 1099-DIV.
- Both forms may come separately, or may be included on a brokerage statement.
- If they are included on a brokerage statement the will be labeled, but may show up in the body of the form.
On the 1040:
Box 2b comes from 1099-INT Box 1
Box 3b comes from 1099-DIV Box 1b
