Sorry here’s some more info:
I lived in the New York for 3 years, filed taxes there in 2021, 2022, and now 2023
I moved back to Canada on August 1st
it is asking for the state of residence as of December 31st, 2023. When I was already back in Canada. Some others are suggesting a partial year return? Just wondering If I should put “foreign or US possession” a little unsure on what that option actually encompasses.
