Taxes for 2020 stated I owed the State $386. It was paid. A recent audit change was made and the conclusion is that even if there was an error and I amend my 2020 taxes now I will still owe $3,853. plus interest $952.94 due to pension exclusion information submitted. The tax documents were recently reviewed and the bill was received 1/2/2024. Should I amend or pay? Have until the 18th.
