Thank you for reply. We file separately and had a change in my household that now I am HOH. I forgot to delete the dependent on other tax form who is not claiming dependent at all, which was e-filed first and accepted already. I then submitted mine and it immediately was rejected because of same dependent SS#. According to turbo tax I had to mail in forms because of mistake e-file was not an option anymore. I did some research today and it seems that I have 2 options. 1. Let the IRS send me letter stating that dependent already claimed and they can determine who qualified, which I know is myself. 2. Amend other tax form to delete dependent, but read it can take months up to get amended which I am concerned it won't happen before they receive my taxes. I had no choice to mail so I guess which of the 2 do I do? I cannot even think anymore!! LOL
Thoughts? Not sure what's best to do?
