I realized that I incorrectly inputted my real estate taxes for my primary residence for my 2021 taxes. Instead of $3k in taxes, I actually had $20k. So, I opened up TT and put in the additional real estate tax paid, which is the difference - $17k.
Now, I noticed that the refund computed in TT for my federal return was $0, but the IL state return had a sizable $800 refund. Do I need to file an amendment for just state, or both federal and state? Not sure if this matters, but I believe TT itemized my deductions for 2021 since I also donate to charity.
