CA Return Rejected
Had a like kind exchange of real property in 2022, CA requires the filing of a form 3840 every year documenting the exchange and that you haven't sold the assets. Believe the form is filled out correctly, however TurboTax's error check is flagging an empty field titled "Personal property description (leave blank for real property: this is an e-file requirement)". TurboTax will not allow e-filing as long as this error remains, error is only cleared by placing a character (I tried both a single space and text) in this field. CA then rejects the return due to text in this field.
Having to print and mail my return, requesting a refund of the $25.00 e-file fee from TurboTax. Wish TurboTax would fix this error, the apparently isn't checking the real property box that is set earlier on this form, others have reported this problem in prior years.
