I need to amend my 2020 return (filed with TurboTax). TurboTax is requiring I use the desktop app, which requires purchasing each state ($45). Can I avoid paying again?
I filed my 2020 return with Turbo Tax. I listed the incorrect amount of non-deductible IRA contributions. I would like to amend the federal return. Turbo tax is prompting me to download the desktop app to do this. My 2020 return includes 2 states as I moved states in 2020 (note that I don't believe I need to amend the state returns as the non-deductible IRA contributions are not included in those returns). The desktop app will not open the .tax file since I have not purchased the license for both states. I already paid to file both state returns with Turbo tax, but this was done via the web app. Is there anyway to avoid purchasing the state software?
