After you file
I assume that you also had a W-2 of your own. If so, on your 2021 tax return, is there a credit for excess Social Security tax on Schedule 3 line 11? If so, the credit is wrong and you should file an amended return to correct it or remove it completely. If there is no amount on Schedule 3 line 11, or there is no Schedule 3 in the return, or there was no other W-2 besides the one for your wife that you entered incorrectly, you do not have to amend the return. You might eventually get a letter from the IRS saying that you did not report your wife's W-2. You will have to reply to the letter explaining that you mistakenly entered it as yours.
Your 2022 tax return will not be rejected because of the error. However, when you start your 2022 tax return in TurboTax, your wife's W-2 will be transferred to the 2022 return as if it's yours. Delete the transferred W-2 and reenter it from scratch for the correct person.
