Corrected W-2c
Received a W-2c from employer in Portland, OR. The only correction on the W-2c was to the Local Wages, tips, etc. Box 18, for one of our Localities, Locality name Metro. There was NO change to Federal or State, Soc. Sec., Medicare wages, tax withheld, or any other Federal or State info. Therefore, there was no change to Federal or State taxable income and no changes to taxes owed. The ONLY change was to the Local Wages, tips, etc, Box 18 which I can amend with our Local Income Tax Return.
Since a W-2c was issued and the IRS will get a copy, do I still need to file an Amended Return even though it has no impact on Fed. or State taxes?
Thanks for the help.
