One additional thought trying to help this experience. Let's make sure you have the correct EIN entry. The EIN is nine digits and no letters at all and you already know no dash entry is required.
If you are confident with that, and you continue to get the error you can do two things.
- Mail your tax return instead of using e-file. It will take more time if you have a refund, but direct deposit will speed it up a little.
