According to the IRS website the form was ready to go at the end of January. This is my last year to use this form thankfully so it may also be my last year for TurboTax too if the delay is strictly TurboTax's inability to keep things updated in a timely manner.
Why is TurboTax so behind on this form? Why is this taking so long to update? I have emails from later in January from TurboTax saying the section and forms were ready to go and then when I go to file a couple of weeks ago it suddenly isn't ready again but doesn't say it until you get ready to file. Make up your mind. You're playing with peoples livelihoods here and for as much as we have to pay to use this service, I expect it to be ready to go.
