Yes, that was the problem. I contacted them this morning and they had to do a lot of digging, but for some reason one of my children were issued an IP Pin last year. They admittedly didn't notify us of this nor issued the IP Pin letter. The IRS processes never cease to boggle my mind with their inefficiency, pointlessness, and lack of clarity.

 

Now my child is stuck having to use the IP Pin permanently due to some issue that we were never made aware of. Why can't we just do flat taxes and be done with this constant headache?
