IRS form 8915-F Qualified Disaster Retirement Plan Distributions and Repayments allowed you to spread the payment of taxes for a retirement plan distribution over tax years 2020, 2021 and 2022.
Are you expecting to use this form? Forms availability says that the form will not be available until February 16.
If you are not expecting to be using this form, perhaps a question was answered incorrectly when circulating through the questions.
Try the following steps if you are using TurboTax Online to see if the error message will clear:
- Go to Federal on the left side of the screen
- Go to Wages & Income at the left side of the screen
- Scroll to the bottom of the section without making any changes and click Wrap Up Income
- Continue moving forward until you see a question about whether you took a disaster distribution in 2020 and select 'No'
- Run the Federal Review again to see if the error has cleared
If the error still has not cleared, you may be able to remove an IRS form 8915-F by:
- Down the left side of the screen, click on Tax Tools.
- Click on Tools.
- Click on Delete a form.
- Find the form listed and click Delete to the right.
