My point was that the CPA did not electronically import any of your TurboTax data into his professional software. He entered it manually from the PDFs or printed copies that you gave him. You can do the same if you go back to TurboTax.
What data from decades ago do you need for your 2022 tax return? The data that TurboTax transfers from year to year is basically just from the previous year. The CPA may have looked at your three previous tax returns for background, but I'm sure he did not enter 3 years or 10 years of data into his software.
(There is only one professional tax software product that can even read a TurboTax data file.)
