Even though the IRS issues most
refunds in less than 21 days after your tax return has been received, it’s
possible your tax return may require additional review by the IRS that would
delay your refund.
Consider calling the IRS about your
refund if it has been:
- 21 days or more since you filed electronically;
- More than 6 weeks since you mailed your paper return;
or
- The Where’s My Refund? tool directs you to contact
them.
Contact the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 if
your refund is delayed.

The TurboTax Refund Tracker, on
the other hand, projects an estimated date range on when you can
expect your refund, based on other TurboTax customers who have already received
their refunds.
