@kaylapearson1984 - "accepted" just means that the IRS acknowledges receipt of the tax return; it does not mean they have reviewed or approved it. If you had anything on lines 27a, 28 or 30 of form 1040, it is more likely to slow down the process. Please read the other responses you received closely. Best you can do is just be patient.
