@Brieanab - if you have your fees netted from your refund, regardless of who the tax preparer is, there is an account set up at Green Dot Bank, the parent of SBTPG. It is not 'fake' it is real. The IRS can only transmit the refund to a Bank and in this situation it is sent to Green Dot and placed in a unique bank account with your refund. They take out the fees and then send on the remainder to your bank account at your bank.
The word 'fake' is a misnomer, but it is not well advertized how this process works.
